Coaches and medical staff are always working to keep their players in the best shape possible. Teams are often forced to subject the players to an array of treatments that can include pain medication (opioid addiction?), shots, and muscle relaxants just to get them through the game. While some sports, like the NBA, have worked to distance themselves from using these methods of treatment and focusing more on mental strength and other physical treatments that are safe for players. Luckily for athletes, there is an old remedy that has come back to us and been removed from the banned list by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), CBD.
The NBA is not the only sport that has brought CBD to the front of the line for treating athletes. The NFL, NLB, and the Olympics are all joining the CBD movement. What is this you ask? CBD to treat athlete struggles, no… Yes! CBD to treat anxiety, depression, pain/inflammation, recovery, and even sleep.
Luckily for Pro Sports and CBD the rules are on their side. Rule makers have been listening to the medical community, athletes, and coaches when they say CBD is an extremely beneficial treatment option.
There are two types of acne; inflammatory and non-inflammatory. If you have, what most of us know, the red swollen blemishes, you have inflammatory acne. Now, there are many different types of inflammatory acne. There is the relatively mild with a few red blemishes. Then there is more serious forms; cystic, nodular, and nodulocystic acne.
CBD research has established that it is affective at treating inflammation. Knowing what we know about CBD, it is not unreasonable to suggest that the use of CBD will help soothe the skin and reduce the appearance of acne breakouts and redness.
Research has also suggested there is a potential of decreasing excess oil production. Data is indicating that this is due to the balancing (homeostasis) effects on the cells.
Scientists have said they need more studies to conclusively confirm these results.
Let’s talk inflammation and CBD. All of us have had the privilege of experiencing the joys that inflammation brings. Firstly, pain can come from a disease or disorder exacerbated by inflammation. However, we are all here to say we feel your pain. Like you, we like to know what is best to use to give us some relief. Pharmaceutical options, with all of their known side effects, are the more common solution. But, what if I told you there is a natural supplement used to reduce inflammation? CBD is a natural substance that exhibits less side effects than its pharmaceutical counterparts. However, our bodies natural systems work with CBD to give the desired relief from inflammation.
